This seems a very strange statement for an Israeli Prime Minister to make given the way that Israel came into being. The results of Israel's unilateral declaration of Statehood does perhaps prove his point. Had Israel waited until the Arab nations were ready to negotiate in good faith would there have been an State of Israel today? If there had been negotiations back then the situation would have been much different today.
