    I visited Nazareth with my family in November 2005. One pleasant memory was the ringing of the church bells at noon. For Christians, Nazareth is a particularly significiant place, because it is the original town of Jesus. His full title was "Jesus of Nazareth" and Pilate added to it "King of the Jews". Nazareth means the "Branch" spoken of by Jeremiah (23:5) and Zechariah (3:8). To fulfil this prophecy, Jesus lived there (Matthew 2:23). Later, Jesus had to leave Nazareth and reside in Kfar Nahum, now advertised as the "town of Jesus". One hopes the Israeli government will take every step to retain the character of Nazareth as the City of the Branch, the Branch of Jehovah-Tsidkenu, the Lord our Righteousness.
