As useless as the UN may be at times, it is not the 'UN's' fault that Israel is lacking 'friends' in the world. It is Israel's own fault. Israel acts, and the world's other inhabitants react, judge it by it's conduct. True, most muslim countries will dislike or hate Israel, or at the very least, the idae of Israel whatever happens, but on the whole, Israel, like any other people on the planet, define themselves by their actions. The consequenses speak volumes. Israel's standing in the world is a result of it's own actions. The other thing i want to say is that this persistent habit of refering to the UN as 'that useless organisation' etc is deeply troubling as it shows a lack of understanding BY ALL SIDES...: the UN does not exist . The UN is simply a collection of the representatives of all countries on earth. There is no 'country' called the UN, no people called UN's, no special interest specifically for the UN. Everybody has an equal say. So again, if Israel constantly gets outvoted, it is because Israel has not made the neccesary amount of friends in the world. Tough. Try again.
