Hi As long as Israel has American support for the occupation of Arab Land, it wil continue to occupy those parts of the ME. However the dwindling US suppor due to the US fiasco in Iraq and its need to establish a unified Sunni coallition is becoming a real problem for the Zionist Gov in Tel Aviv. That they still have some saying is evident here where they have managed to keep the Golan issue from the agenda. Not for long one would imagine, but never the less a major blow for any real attempt at discussion what really matters. If in indeed the Syrians are not coming the US will be even more pressed to come up with some form of achievement concerning the Palestinians hardship and that is positive. To let the Israelis dictate the agenda, the US shows that they are clueless the the Israeli aims, because as you so rightly point out Israel isn\t interested in paying the price for peace. They will have to be forced out from occupied Arab Land, they wont leave by their own making.
