In a 1939 (!) book: "Palestine: the Reality," British Journalist JMN Jeffries describes how in WW I the British signed a binding treaty with the Arabs fighting for Palestinian independence against Turkey. Meanwhile in London Zionist leaders were having tea with cabinet members, leading to the Balfour Declaration, giving that land to what at the time was an insignificant Jewish minority. But that is history. We need to face "facts on the ground." There is no way we can right the historic wrongs that deprived the native inhabitants of North America by fraud ($24 worth of trinkets for Manhattan Island) and violence (military raids on the Great Plains in the 1880's) and so on. So, the native Americans remain on reservations--tht they can choose to leave and choose to exercise all rights of US citizens. the League of Nations action that led to creation of the "Jewish" and "Democratic" (?) state of Israel cannot be reversed. But the further illegal actions of that state in 1967 certainly can and should. Apparently the Likud, whose platform, published in full by the Knesset, declares that the Eastern boundary of Israel is the Jordan River! But Palestinians on their reservations cannot choose to leave them, cannot choose to exercize fulll rights of Israeli citizens.
