Nappies are diapers in english. I am not sure if english is your first language or not, but napkins are never called nappies....unless you use a diaper to wipe your mouth. I am a fairly new oleh and although i didnt expect the relatively efficient system train/subway system that i had in london or new york I did expect more than there is. Most urban areas the size of the Tel Aviv or Jerusalem have some type of system...and quite frankly the buses (the substitute) are notoriously inefficient in israel. It is ridiculious that it took fifteen years to plan and build this project. Dublin basically built the same system (built and operated by the same company, Veolia) in three. One should certainly question why this is. A combination of corruption and bureacracy is my guess. Of course it is going to have initial challenges as it gets up and running....but why so long in coming????
