A few points: 1) Israel left Gaza after carpet bombing the place and destroying houses there for nearly 40 years during which time 50% of the land in Gaza was controlled by Israel for the benefit of 8000 odd settlers at the expense of the 1.5 million Palestinians living there. Israel still controls land, sea and air access to Gaza. How many countries do you know that would accept their borders being controlled by a foreign country? Would you like Israel's borders to be controlled by Indonesia for example? 2) Israel left Southern Lebanon and was hit with Katyusha strikes when it started carpet bombing Lebanon. Do you expect your neighbours to fold their arms and smile while you bomb them? 3) Israel left Sinai TOTALLY and didn't attach Egypt. In nearly 30 years not a single Egyptian shot has been fired across the border and it has had peace on its Egyptian border. Lesson learned: make a REAL evacuation and Israel will have peace.
