Hamas may have told Israel it isn’t looking for another war in Gaza, but it’s clearly desperate to advance its attack tunnels. It’s also delighted to be sowing seeds of discontent and concern among the Israeli public.04:19 13.02.16 | 0 comments
I see the refusal of Bush to cut our losses in Iraq differently. First the 'democracy' that was supposed to result from the conquest of Iraq was a compliant one, which would serve US interests, and allow the building of massive bases from which to dominate the region. Second, Iraq was to be 'rebuilt' at US taxpayer's cost, and only then were the nationally owned industries - especially the oil industry - were to be sold off at cents on the dollar of value to Bush buddies. Third, this war might not be good for America, but the Bush family and Bush buddies are getting richer with every death of an American soldier. This war had nothing to do with WMD, or "creating democracy." This was a war for power and profit. It has failed at that too. But that doesn't matter as the third condition, continued profit for the Bush family and friends continues, and thus must the war.
