the victors of the 1973 war have children who now man the idf.they are made of the same stuff.the grit and valiant behaviour we saw in 1973 you will see in today's idf. that hizbollah was able to set up ambushes and killed idf soldiers is no great feat. in this guerrila war that you are so proud of they mananged to kill an average of two soldiers a month.something like 24 a year.that is not a great many by any standard. moshe tamir has recently written that the idf tried to avoid casualties and so did not initiate operations.if there is an open war with hizbollah then most military men would not give hizbollah much of a chance.
