The latest speech is vintage Mubarak. He was ready to blame everyone except himself, and although he remembered to extend his "sympathy" with the families that lost dear ones, his speech is way behind the mood of the nation and due nothing to weaken the resolve of those protesters in Tahrir square. Mubarak will go down as the most obstinate of dictators and the least rational. It is tragic that the fate of the nation is held hostage by a senile individual who refuses to live in the real world.
