We ARE in the middle east. what you describe is befitting of a master subject relationship and not one that will ultimately bring peace. Peace is promoted by mutual respect that takes many years to build, and by justice. If we put greater strength as the basis for everything then no treaty will indeed be worth the paper it is signed on. The same goes for your USA. There is no justice in this philosophy. And as long as things stay as they are we will be hated by good people everywhere we go, because good people don't like conquerors. That is the Israeli philosophy, and that is the American philosophy that you express, the Philosophy of the great American empire. just like any other empire, levying tax on the entire world, and exporting your decaying culture. It may not be in our lifetime, but this empire will also fall, and for our life time the only thing we have is our conscious, and knowing that we do and stand for the right thing, and not always for what is in our best interest.
