Usually, Hamas people are proud of their membership, so the possibility that Abu Sisi is the "father of rockets" is small. But now Israel will have to stick to it for otherwise the international kidnapping will be seen for what it is. Let us recall last year's assassination of Mabhuh in Dubai. Almost 30 agents were used, and burned, in that pointless operation. Mabhuh, the organizer of weapons supply to Hamas, was easily replaced. One could only make sense of that operation, considering the potential cost, by being led according to a megalomaniac mindset which believes that it must show superiority over any opponent, no matter how small and insignificant. Now we have a repeat performance. Another insignificant Hamasnik (at best) is being kidnapped abroad, regardless of the potential international scandal this act might generate. (Note that regardless of Ukrainian participation, perhaps, they will have to deny it and Israel will be seen again as an international outlaw.) The new Mossad chief was "educated" under the previous one and probably picked up his megalomania. Let him go too and let Israel appoint a chief from outside Mossad to clean up this awful mess. Let it be noted that Mossad answers to the Prime Minister's office, i.e., Netanyahu himself. Yahoo seems not to have learned much from the Mabhuh debacle.

Why Barak regrets speaking out on Iran

There was no security breach in what the former defense minister said about how an attack was thwarted; what has suffered is mainly Israel’s image.

How the bagel went from shtetls to haute cuisine

A visit to the world's bagel capital is a chance to marvel at how this unassuming Jewish-Ashkenazi food has come from its 17th-century beginnings.
