I think you had better check your sources again, instead of coming up with the usual excuse of blaming Israel. Hamas has always been an integral part of the Moslem Brotherhood movement and got most of its funding from Jordan and Saudi Arabia. At no point was Israel a financial donor to Hamas. The 'charitable' arm of Hamas was initially registered by the Israelis as a legal organization, and promoted by Jordan, as an alternative grass-roots influence among Palestinians to the PLO. But once the organization evolved into a militant group, and produced its infamous 1988 charter, that was the end of that.
