As a city planner I know enough about architecture to be dangerous. Calling the TA CBS a monstrosity is a gross understatement. Nothing is convenient and it's easy to get lost. It appears that the architect designed it to maximize its complexity despite the confusion it would cause to users. Another problem is that it's also disconnected from the train station. A generally accepted practice in planning is that transportation modes should be as integrated as possible. Finally, it creates an identity problem for Tel Aviv in that the central bus and train stations are in different areas and that makes it difficult for the first-time visitor to comprehend how to travel within the city.
