A correction to my earlier posting. It was not just the written press in Australia but also the TV that prominently featured Israel's use of forged foreign passports. Sky News, the Rupert Murdoch owned TV channel, gave as much time, if not more, to this story of forgery and the reaction of the Australian government, than it did to the winning of the gold medal in the Olympics by Australian Lydia Lassila. And it should be noted that Murdoch is a strong supporter of Israel. If is channels are reporting the displeasure with Israel it is not hard to imagine what less friendly venues are saying. Australia is not pleased with Israel. The Israeli ambassador was called in. Perhaps Australia should recall its ambassador from Israel and stop supporting a country that obviously holds it in contempt - as the Australian foreign minister so accurately noted - every half an hour on Sky News.
