In regard to Dan Evans article I would like to hear more, nothing was stated as to the olim in this country that are currently qualified to fill the jobs of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. I know of at least 6 olim that currently can't work because these positions are not recognized here. Now the MOH is ready to recognize the value of these professions that have been working in 23 other nations to provide quality medical care and alleviate Physician shortages, but has made no mention of utilizing a ready source of qualified Physician Assistance and Nurse Practitioners that have been under utilized or gone on to other ways of earning a living here. I am glad to see that the MOH has broadened its horizons to benefit our current Physician shortage but they could be doing more by allowing qualified olim work in their hard earned professions and incorporate them in implementing a new age in Israeli health care.
