As always, you have zero understanding of both history and the current situation: "Of course the settlements are ghettos- why do they have such high walls, all that barbed wire and so many soldiers around them? Only Jews are allowed in- that`s a classic ghetto." Gentiles weren't banned from Jewish ghettos. It wasn't some exclusive country club. They (gentiles throughout history, especially in Europe and Arab countries) herded Jews into ghettos, that made it easier to monitor, harrass and kill them. Israel is 25 percent Arab, yet "Palestine" in its current form is less than 1 percent Jewish! The Palestinians continually insist that every settlement be dismantled and that Israel must be "judenrein." Clear of all Jews. No official Palestinian body would recognize Israel for the first 40 years of this conflict (till '88), so it made peaceful co-existence pretty difficult, genius (Ahmed, I know you have pledged yourself to my death, but do you want to be my next door neighbor?). Hamas, a hugely popular party, still refuses to recognize Israel's right to exist. "Of course the settlers never think about the Palestinians who are automatically confined by Israel to their reservations." Of course Burke comes to Ha'aretz every day to slander Jews. How do you feel about Palestinian acts of brutal terror? The Palestinian decision to reject partion in '48 and wage war with five Arab armies against Holocaust survivors? The Arab decision to sneak attack on Yom Kippur, our holiest day. These are your allies, and they say a lot about you! I know why I'm so interested in this conflict, I live here and every decisision affects me. Why are you so interested in demonizing us? Could it be the world's oldest hatred?
