It really beats me why so many zionists in the US want Israel to be constantly at war with their neighbours. In the US these 7 million Jews live side by side with some 7 million arabs and muslims, millions of blacks, Mexicans and people from all over the world. The biggest problem in the US is they keep shooting each other and bombing other countries. But I want to ask the zionists in the US if you think it helps the people of Israel with all this blinkered "nuke the arabs" jingoism. The time to ask the arabs if they wanted a Jewish state in the middle of arab states was in 1947 or even 1948 when Ben Gurion seems to have decided that only 55,000 Jews had more rights to the land of Palestine than the 700,000 Palestinians and drove them off their land. No Americans state your case. Why are you so anxious for Israel to always be at war? I am not. Most Australian's - 83% of us - want two states living in peace with shared resources so why don't Olmert and his thugs?

The left must recognize the brutal reality of the wider region, while the center must stop the cynicism and propose an exciting third way to end the occupation.
