I was born in Montreal, and I've lived here all my life. I don't believe that these acts of crimes were committed by the Quebecois, but by Arabs. Montreal has some of the highest Palestinian, Lebanese and Syrian populations in North America: they go to my school my public institutions and are openly against the state of Israel. As someone on the left, i have to deal with a lot of problems such as the Israeli boycott and Israeli sanctions, which are all brought up during left wing political discussions... attacks on Israel which are very common on the left. Israel needs to better its image in the west, particularly in Canada. The large Arab population over here is convincing more people to take the anti-Israel side more than the media convinces people to take the pro-Israel side. The Jewish community in Montreal is shrinking and the Arab one is growing. Things are not looking bright for Quebec.
