I was watching some old movies I recorded onto VHS years ago and on one tape there was a tv news report one it was 1 week before the signing of oslo, Arafat was making speeches to western journalists about peace he never delivered and in Israel the biggest rally in the countries history to date was taking place to support the peace process. There was 40,000 people. Over 11 times more people came out saying we want the government to spend money on us than last night than came out to support peace making when hopes for peace making were at their peak. During these protests alot of demands have been made by alot of people but except for a handful on the far left virtually nobody has had anything to say about the lack of a peace process. I think it shows that whilst the world might think there is nothing thats more important than the peace process to Israelis its not a priority.
