The problem in the U.S. is that modern orthodoxy was taken over by groups such as Young Israel, which years ago were progressive, but today they are essentially a mainstream, if not right wing form of orthodoxy running under the banner of modern. But my question is this. Why do there seem to be very few modern orthodox women willing to fight for change?
