While I do applaud a homeland for Jews, the ethnic cleansing that has resulted in the west bank, and over the '67 line is very troubling. Also, the secularization and dilution of traditional Jewish values is especially troubling. The move to the right is a direct result, by all accounts. The total resistance to co-existence with ALL other nations and ethnic groups of the middle east is the most troubling of all. The overt demonization of Arabic, Sephardic, Ottoman, Kurdish, and so on groups is repugnant, as they are, most certainly, an intrinsic part of the Middle East, not the Ashkenazim group that seeks to rule, dominate, and own it. And Ashkenazim , is, sadly, the bulk of the Russian immigration, that is the legacy of Lautenberg.
