While I oppose the heavy handed arrest and the prevailing orthodoxy that prevents non-orthodox Judaism from playing a full role in Israel, It is time to end it's status it as a synagogue. Praying at the wall has increasingly become praying TO the wall: Jews have endowed it with a holiness which, as part Herod's rebuilt self aggrandisement, it never had and does not deserve. The Wall is NOT the Temple. Nor is it short cut to God. Placing prayers in the joints, as if they will get answered because of their location, is it best superstitious nonsense. At worst it is nothing less than idolatry.
