Bringing more *young Jews* to experience Israel Educational experiences in Israel – is not only about expanding Birthright. One of the goals of the Prime Minister's Initiative is to increase the number of participants in immersive experiences in Israel with an emphasis on travel before and during college and through return visits. "Young Jews" does not translate to just young Jewish adults. The Initiative is ground-breaking in that for the first time, it is also taking into account increasing the number of participants on high school age teen programs to Israel - an area that has been for too long neglected by the Government of Israel, the Jewish Agency, and the institutions who have so heavily invested in college-age programs only. The overall communal goal should be to attract more young people to Israel, period. There are real benefits in programs for high school students who spend weeks in Israel, as opposed to just days. Investing in them at an earlier age has a longer-term impact for them, their families, their communities, and for Israel at large.
