I remember just after the Saudis refloated their "Arab initiative" that Peres got up and said that Israel needed to - and was planning to - reply with their very own "Israeli initiative". I still haven't seen it. All we get is Olmert meeting Abbas and saying variations of: I can't agree to that. I don't want to talk about that. Let's talk about "gestures". I'm not agreeing to anything before Annapolis. I'm not agreeing to anything at Annapolis Just constant rejection of Palestinian proposals. Because the Israeli's won't actually articulate their position beyond: 1) "whadda' gonna' offer me???" and 2) "that ain't acceptable!!!" The Pals have put their cards on the table, but Israel is still refusing to show hers. That is, Israel won't say what they want. And that's because they want everything and anything they can get, but they are unwilling to openly admit it.
