Firstly they are there to dock in Syria and have no interest in docking at Haifa and second they are not on a mission of peace. They may not be there to pick a fight but they sure as hell are not on any peace mission. The last thing we need is to get into a phony peace process with Iran. Israel needs the world to see Iran as a threat not a potential partner for peace to keep up pressure on Iran's nuclear program. The minute Israel starts extending hands of friendship it looses any ability to influence anybody. Instead we will start hearing calls to force Israel make any concessions Iran feels is needed to make peace. Certainly the Europeans are always optamistic and like to believe peace is possible if we just make an effort. To the west strategically Iran is more valuable that Israel because they have oil and its spending power abroad Israel does not. It's also easier to put the squeeze on Israel than it is Iran. The very last thing Israel needs to do is make peace making stunts for the media because Iran has no interest in peace making and it may backfire.
