you can't keep living in some crazy world where you are "making things right" so long as you are somehow hewing to a zealous idealism in which you have to atone for whatever happened in the past by committing suicide. do you really think, even if israel has some responsibility for the events of 1948 in which arabs fled to surrounding arab countries, that creating arab cities in Israel for Palestinians who now live in other countries somehow will solve a problem? what about the millions of jews who now live in israel who do not have the money or means to flee israel once the arabs you bring home to israel begin to treat the jews in israel as they treat each other throughout the arab world. You want to create a binational state? Ever seen Lebanon? Or what about Syria -- are you clueless as to what is happening there? How about the treatment of Copts in Egypt. Millions of Muslim Indians fled to Pakistan when India was created. They are not coming back and none of the Indians are crying (crocodile) tears for them. Oh, but you don't want to be a "bad person". You must be able to be so good that if necessary, you will cut off your own arms to give to somebody whose arms are too short. Being a good person also requires common sense and an understanding of reality. Trying to promote national suicide on the basis of atoning for some imagined national sin is nothing more than mental illness of the first order. And remember, had the Arabs won the war in 1948 all that would have happened is 600,000 more Jewish deaths and refugees in that decade. And nobody would be crying any tears, crocodile or other.
