Ken Loach has through all his pictures proved that he has a deep empathy and a social pathos. No, I don't think his boycott of the Haifa Film festival is meaningful, especially because many of the Israeli filmmakers also are advocating humanity in their creations. But it is his way to protest against Israel's ruthless treatment of the Palestinian and Lebanese population and has probably nothing to do with anti-Semitism or boycott of Jewish culture.
