Yes it would be great if the Palestinian people united behind an upright government, and it would be nice if Israel would del with this government in a fair and honest manner, but there are a few problems in the way. First problem, many of the Palestinians are invested in one of the two existing parties, and it is unlikely that a third party could gain a majority. Second problem, Israel will not deal with any Palestinian in a fair and honest manner unless there is a loaded gun pointed at their head. Third problem, Hamas will never stop attacks unless there are negotiations between Hamas and Israel. Hamas does not care who the government is of Israel or the Palestinians. It will not affect their "charter".
