That cost includes the Yom Kippur War where the primary goals of Egypt and Syria were recovering lost land and national honor. It includes all of the cost of the occupation. How much has that cost been? Hard to say as we do not - and can not - know what would have happened. But the cost has been high, in lives, wealth and national prestige.
