There is hardly a German alive today whose parent, grandparent or great-grandparent is not tainted by the Nazi period, actively or passively, just as there is hardly a Jew today whose life is not in some way influenced by those events. This does not mean that today's Jewish and German generations should bear each other grudges. If explored, the different forms of guilt and collective amnesia that they have in common forge a very sensitive emotional bond between them. I see no problem at all with such a business relationship. On the contrary, I hope in the long run it will bring better news.
