trying to smear a well respected international jurist, it might have an easier time running down El Baradei. But seeing as it has, and the fact that Israel, as a non-signatory to the NNPT really has no business even commenting on the IAEA, it should keep quiet, and hope that the US decides to do the job. But there is an important test for the incoming head. If he, like El Baradei, lets the US ride roughshod over the clauses of the NNPT that are supposed to protect the non-weapons countries from harassment by the weapons countries, he might cause the IAEA to face the same pressure for reforms that remove the clout of the 5 throne countries.
