Your response to Murray is typical - blame the victims for their own victimization. You and your ilk just refuse to admit or conceive how evil and oppressive your occupation is and has been - there was very little palestinians could do while you terrorize and murder them at will, humiliate them at every turn and take their resources whenever you want. You are like the wife beating abuser who claims in his own defense that it's all her fault - if she just didn't burn the toast, why, he wouldn't be so tempted to strike her. mathias - the occupation was and evil thing - what Israel did in Gaza is horrific and every Israeli and jew who condoned it will never, ever be able to wash the blood off his/her hands unless they make full restitution for the wrongs they have wrought (like compensating the victims? accepting responsibility for their crime?). Now it wants to wash its hands and pretend it was all the palestinians' own fault. Why couldn't they just stay in prison and be happy if they get a crumb of food now and then? As for the refugees - Israel bears a greater responsibility for them than anyone else. Certainly more than any Arab state. Have they ever offered any decent compensation or something that anyone could even remotedly accept? had they done so, perhaps there would be abasis for negotiation.
