this is hardly an isolated picture. It must be seen against a backdrop of growing racism in Israeli society. There is the Court which has sanctioned smaller communities in Israel legally defended in refusing to sell or rent to Arabs as "unsuitable" to the profile of their community, you have the house demolitions of Arab families in Lod, you have the recent law saying that any Arab towns that commemorate the Naqba (in communities by the ay where the majority of the rsidents are either refugees fromlarger towns who were forcily removed or from villages that were razed in 1948) It is part of a codified racism.
