The more death and destruction that Israel rains on Lebanon and Syria, the worse Israel's future will be. Sure Israel has the capability to kill lots of people and level the cities, but the political cost to Israel and the US will be extremely high and will weaken the US and Israel to the point that some time in the future, the death and destruction will be returned to Israel many times over. "Friends may come and go, but enemies accumulate," and Israel is accumulating more powerful enemies every day. What happens when the US either can not or will not protect Israel?
