    Yes, the problem is with the people who wish Israel out of existence. Congratulations for at least recognizing that bit of reality. And the solution proposed by Mr. Rubinstein? "What you have to do is persuade the people, and that can only be done through the economy." That is an outmoded Marxist concept (historical materialism). To put it crudely, Mr. R. suggests paying people to forget their national/religious passions. That program fits the mindset of the Israeli left rather precisely, but it has no relevance to our enemies. Our conflict with them is national/religious, and to survive our first step must be to clarify, reinvigorate and reinforce our own national/religious passions.
