I happen to know people who consider that the description of their nationality as Israeli Arab is correct. You're slighting of their status. Some of them consider that serving in the army is an honour and they certainly don't regard themselves as second class citizens, and nor do I see them as such. It's possible that their standard of living and of education is higher than yours. Since you have such public spirit you should save your sympathy and apply your indignation in a worthier cause, the Palestinians in Lebanon are not even second class citizens because though they've lived there for generations, they're not considered citizens at all. No vote, a lousy education, no passports, barred from 70plus professions. They really need your help. And please don't say 'they like it that way' which is what was said about the slaves as well.
