not true. hizballah is syrias protege.when they lost 850 combatants killed (more then israel lost in the six day war)and had the suburb of dahiya in beirut wiped out one can certainly not say syria suffered nought. the syrians could not care less about the lebanese infrastructure.but hizb is no longer a pressure on israel.i would say syria suffered big-time.
