Yael Patir, Israel director of the left-leaning U.S. Jewish body, sat down with Haaretz to talk about Trump, the gap between U.S. and Israeli Jews, and the growing anger at the Israeli peace camp. Howdy Mark; You said, "My big complaint is that the one person who conducted himself with dignity was Saddam himself." I noticed that too (at least during his execution but not at his trial). I wonder if he knew that he was being filmed? Certainly, he comported himself more honorably than his executioners. It's a powerful statement against the death penalty which is not going to be missed, but I'm still borderline about it although it's really nasty, disgusting business to have to kill someone on the orders of the state. Did you see the size of the rope? They could have hung an elephant with that.
