The need to preempt Iran and export gas to Egypt was the reason the government gave to push through its controversial plan for Israel's natural gas. Now, this reason may no longer exist.08:52 31.08.15 | 1 comments
Your claims about the Six Day war are obviously researched but they are not honest. The Soviet disinformtion to which you refer was that Israeli forces were assembling to attack Syria(The Egyptian border was still patrolled by a UN peacekeeping force so there was no chance anyone would believe the lie that Israel was interested in war with Egypt). Nasser's closure of the Straits of Tiran was not a "statement" but an act of war as was clearly understood by everyone at the time. It was Egypt's expulsion of the United Nations Peace Keeping force that made an Israeli preemptive self-defence operation urgent as well as necessary. The rest is history but those of us who care about the truth will never forget it. Tell your lies somewhere else but not in an Israeli newspaper.
