a war between Israel and Iran would be fought in Syria, Lebanon and Gaza not actually Iran, the Iranian threat is only present because of its influence in these places, if Iran's influence was removed from Israel's border then there wouldn't really be a way for Iran to hit Israel with WMD's from Iran, they would easily be intercepted, but given the possibilities that Hezbollah and Hamas can now add the threat of nuclear bombs to there arsenal is the threat that Israel is concerned about. Israel can win a war with Iran by removing its influence in the region which is what the pre-emptive strike will probably lead to, not a hit on Iran itself. And America would never finish a war for Israel, i think the Yom Kippur war proved this that when it comes time for Israel's survival the only thing America can be depended on is useless ammo that they dont need
