Again Mr. Genius speaks!! Despite the spin and all the stories played on by both sides there is something that is painfully obvious that needs to be addressed. Those that are intelligent realize that the Israeli government cannot negotiate any terms which would immediately result in the toppling of the government. Unlike Fatah which deems itself in control for life, Netanyahu probably has to cowtow to his religious coalition partners that want the building to continue. The bottom line is quite simple. Gaza had billions of dollars invested in its development and Israel decided to unilaterally turn it over to the Palestinians. The same could happen within the framework of a real peace agreement. Perhaps Abbas is more interested in making it seem like he is negotiating in good faith, but actually wants to find a way to blame Israel for its failure. There must be NO preconditions to negotiation and it is in ALL the parties in the Middle Easts interest to have peace between Israel and the Arab world.
