Although I do not consider sanctions useful, but rather very damaging, I still have a problem with your post: "...bill designed to make life harder on all ordinary people in Iran. This will start the process of stifling dissent and draw people to the government..." Can you give me an example of a useful sanction which does NOT make life harder to ordinary people? Now, why sanctions are damaging? Because they'd prod Iran to hurry up the bomb and immediatly after obtaining it to blackmail the world to not only stop the sanctions, but ask for the moon in addition, and get it, or else!
