One of my senators is Mark Kirk, whose campaigns have been heavily funded by the Israel lobby. I think he is at the top of the list of recipients of Israel lobby money. He is continually coming up with pro-Israel legislation in Congress and is the co-sponsor originator of the Kirk-Menendez bill that illogically calls for more sanctions while negotiations are proceeding. If it isn't an attempt a sabotage, what is? The Economist cartoon is perfectly accurate. What's ludicrous is Abe Foxman's predictable call of anti-Semitism and the usual pusillanimous pullback of the target. The days of this bullying are numbered. The Israel lobby, so appropriately called a "night flower" because it works best in the background, is finally being called out by name in the mainstream US media. At long last!
