While in thery you are right, in practice, there is far more at stake here. If Israel were to attack anything in Iran, it would be ONLY strategic military complexes...air bases, missile sites, military R&D facilities, etc. Not only would it NOT stop Iran from continuing on it's foolhardy path by destroying the oil fields, it would intensify their attention to such ends. Destroying military targets would have far longer effects, possibly setting Iran back 2-5 years.
