There's what people say, and there's what people do. Yeah, Nixon, in private, made crude remarks about Jews (Irish, Italians and every other background) that would be typical of his generation and ethnicity. As did Jimmy Carter. You probably know that 9/10 Israelis above the age of 45, asked who the greatest American president was, will tell you unhesitatingly, "Nixon". As for McGovern, he is an antisemitic prick of the 1st water, who isn't at all shy now (now that he's out of the limelight) about sharing his views that "The Jews" control the world, oil, finance, the newspapers -- the far leftist craperoo that always formed his core beliefs. Both Nixon and McGovern both said one thing and did another. I'll take Nixon's words over McGovern's actions, any day. But then, I'm a Republican. Duh.
