    Marcus' point is extremely well taken. I also support the current battle against Hizbollah. But the IDF, with its well earned reputation as one of the finest and smartest military forces in the world, clearly has not thought this one through. The top brass needs to stop putting on a side show and function as the smart military command that it truly is...let the politicians do the posturing. Israel's fight here has..had garnered some empathy across the globe. After all, how many countries would tolerate the abuse and terror heaped on Israel by Hizbollah (among others) over a period of time. The US had a single major terrorist incident in 2001 and invaded two countries! This really is a just fight led by the IDF. But be purposeful and deliberate. Destroying Lebanon will not root out Hizbollah but, potentially, make them and their parasitic patrons stronger. Use the brainpower that, in the past, has always complemented the firepower most effectively.
