Haredim and settlers are the two groups most prone to use violence when they feel "put upon". Recognizing this, the Israeli government has gone to great lengths not to make those two groups feel put upon. This situation has gotten so extreme that we have seen violence from both groups recently over very trivial matters. I guess the government will have to try harder in order to placate them. As for women, they have been treated the same way by Judaism for a very long time. Now is not the time to make a revolution.
