    War crime criminals must never be allowed to escape justice despite the passing of years or fading of memories. Saying this, I see an element here that is either ignored or not considered. To begin with, 'Never Again' is the only base lesson one hears. It states that what happened during the holocaust must never be allowed to happen again. A good starting point and teaching tool for our young when they are first exposed to the history. Yet still, one hears primarily that this was a crime commited by Nazis. Even more specifically Hitler and his henchman. In fact, the world was an accessory. The U.S. turned away Jewish refugees, resulting in their demise. Other neighboring countries were complacent when the Nuremberg Laws were passed. Allowing further prosecution to the Jews and increased confidences to the top Nazi. The final solution was not caused by just a few men, men we call 'monsters' to convince ourselves they are not like us. It is the result of man's apathy to his neighbor. No one stood up for the Jews so now we say "never again", WW2 was brutal and ruthless. People think it can't happen here again without Nazis. But the truth demands more. Since 'Never Again' we have had genocide in Ruwanda, Darfur , Cambodia. and Laos. So 'Never Again' is not enough if we just point to the Nazi's as culprits. Indeed citizens like you rested comfortably using logic of
