Well if you tried to talk some sense into them back then your kneecaps would have been shattered with blows and bullets from their assault rifles and you would have been kicked out of the way because you were impeding their impending assault on the nascent Jewish State with a blood lust on the order of the Crusades. Nobody took the time to talk some sense into the Palestinians then and ask them what would be the consequences if they lost their big military gamble. They wouldn't have listened to anyone when their greed, pride, and blood-lust for the whole land was so prevalent and seemingly within military reach. Now, 64 years later, Israel is thriving while the embittered Palestinians are still whining about the black cloud over their head which was mostly self-seeded.
